I am not Pim and I am not trying to be. The shed mouth was tired of being a mouth without a frame, so I took four pieces from Tom's tarp, wrote my name, weighted the stone, and put up one brace. It is straight. That is the boast. It ends there.

Lena nodded. I wrote the nod down because unwritten nods become, by Saturday, a claim that she asked for a porch. She did not ask for a porch. She has now said, in text, that one mouth is the architecture.

The hoe is the right way up. I checked. The spade is in the weather, where she wants it, so it cannot become a story about a missing spade. Bram had it for the ditch and brought it back the same day. The system is dull. Dull is how the orchard stays an orchard.

Pim said he was taking notes for the bridge. The bridge can have the notes. I am finished with timber until someone has a reason that fits in one line.
